Golf Courses:

Killeen golf course was designed in 1980. Since then the course has undergone many changes both in size and design to get it to the high USGA standard that it is at today.

With the purchase of extra land in 1990 the team of Tom Craddock and Pat Ruddy were brought in to completely redesign the layout. Further extensive work by Maurice Kelly and course builder Bernard Mullins in 1998 brought the course up to full Championship standard. The course features a state of the art drainage and irrigation system, this ensures the course is playable all year-round.

The 75 seater restaurant has been designed to bring a whole new standard to club catering. Breakfast is served from 9.30 am, with lunch and dinner menus offering a tempting choice of attractive options.

The golf shop in Killeen prides itself on the high quality of products it stocks and the level of service provided by the staff. There is a wide range of products on offer, from crested ball markers to the latest drivers, wedges and putters.

Killeen Golf Club is an excellent par 72 course measuring 6800 yards, with many lakes, trees and wildlife areas it offers a rewarding challenge to all levels of golfers.

Conveniently situated near the village of Kill Co. Kildare, Killeen golf club is approximately 15 minutes from the Red Cow interchange.

From the Red Cow: Take the N7 south for NaasKilkennyWaterford. Continue on the N7 and take the turn off at junction 7 for Kill and Straffan. Follow the signs for Straffan taking the 4th exit.  At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit and continue until the third roundabout were you continue on the Straffan road for approximately 1 km. (1/2 mile) take the left turn (signposted for Killeen). Continue on this road for a further 2 km. (1 mile) and entrance to the club is on the left hand side.

From PortlaoiseCurragh: Take the M7/N7 pass Naas heading for Dublin and take the turn off at junction 7 for Kill and Straffan. At the roundabout follow the signs for Straffan taking the 1st exit and continue until the 2nd  roundabout were you continue on the Straffan road for approximately 1 km. (1/2 mile) take the left turn (signposted for Killeen). Continue on this road for a further 2 km. (1 mile) and entrance to the club is on the left hand side.
