Connemara Golf Links  [Co. Galway]

Voted Best Links Course in Connaught 2016 by Golfers Guide to Ireland, Connemara Golf Links is situated along the majestic west coast and is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and 12 Bens Mountain range.

Designed by Eddie Hackett and opened in June 1973, this beautiful isolated links course is a testament to the vision of her founders and in the short years since, it has become established as one of the finest in the country and plays host to the longest running Pro-Am in Ireland.

A truly natural links with the unique addition of a rugged, rocky landscape with breathtaking view on every hole is a challenge to all. An additional 9 holes designed by Eddie Hackett and Tom Craddock were introduced in 2000. 

Standards are set high off the course also, the club house is modern and well equipped boasting a restaurant, bar, showers, locker rooms and a very well stocked Proshop. There are putting and practise areas also and tuition is available with resident PGA Pro. Hugh O’Neill.

Directions

From Galway: Take N59 west to Clifden

From Westport: Take N59 south to Clifden

From Clifden: Follow signs for Ballyconneely on the coast road. After approx. four miles bear right at Ballyconneely (at Keogh’s Pub). Take first right past Bunowen Castle. Follow Golf Course Road to entrance.
