Founded in 1945 Balbriggan Golf Club, located just 15 minutes from Dublin Airport and just off the M1 motorway, is now among the premier parkland courses in Leinster.

Balbriggan Golf Club has undergone major redevelopment in the last couple of years which has seen the course redesigned by Eddie Connaughton with USGA standards and based greens and tee boxes. The newly developed course has been open for play since June 2009. The blend of mature trees and newly designed water hazards, which come into play on seven holes, give an intriguing character to the course and provides golfers with variety and a challenging round.

The Pro shop is run by Nigel Howley, PGA Professional, who offers lessons on all aspects of the game and is a Qualified Mizuno and Ping Custom fitter. [More...]

Balcarrick was originally founded in 1972 under the name of Dublin & County Golf Club. The club changed its name in 1992 to Balcarrick Golf Club and moved to its current location. The course was initially designed by Barry Langan, recently re-developed by Roger Jones and is a magnificent and challenging 18 hole Par 73 golf course, measuring over 6800 yards. Each hole has it's own particular feature and proves a stern test for even the most accomplished golfer. Strategically placed bunkers and water hazards ensure that high levels of accuracy and skill are required to achieve a 'championship' score. Balcarrick is an ECO friendly club where tradition abounds.

Balcarrick golf club is situated overlooking the Malahide estuary and has been restyled by Roger Jones into a fabulous estuary type golf course. Evey hole has a different shape and the greens are the most consistant in the Dublin area. Water is a feature on 11 of the 18 holes, the par threes will test any class of golfer and par is not guaranteed. Bellewstown Golf Club is a new championship length parkland course built by the Leonard family on their 150 acre farm which was originally part of the Hilltown Estate. Situated north-east of Bellewstown Race Course, within easy reach of Dublin, Drogheda and the North of Ireland, this par 72, pay and play facility promises to be a challenging and enjoyable experience for golfers of all levels.

Black Bush Golf Club is a 27 hole parkland course which was founded in 1988.

All 27 holes have undergone extensive drainage work which enables golfers to play year round.

The three nines allow the club to run member only competitions and welcome visitors at the same time. The club's motto is "Sport agus Cairdeas" which is Sport and Friendship.

Black Bush Golf Club boasts excellent greens and a well maintained course headed by the chief greenskeeper,Paul Farrell. The Pro Shop is run by Shane O'Grady, who is also the coach for the Maguire twins and Leinster juvenile coach for the GUI.

The clubhouse facilities are extensive and include equally excellent bar and catering under Audrey Finnegan and Hugh Rintouil.

With sea views from all 18 holes, this enjoyable and challenging parkland course carries the prestigious Hawtree & Son design signature. With a Par 72 length of 6175 metres the course is always well maintained and offers an interesting variety of holes with the 14th played over the sea from a cliff promontory probably being the feature.

The modern Clubhouse, overlooking a private beach, assures visitors a warm welcome and has full bar and catering facilities. Professional John McDonald runs a well equipped shop with club, trolley and motorised buggy hire. [More...]

Bray Golf Club is a magnificent USGA-standard parkland course, set in nearly 200 acres, combining stunning scenery with a classic layout. The course has been in play for a little over 2 years and was designed by Des Smyth (Ryder Cup Vice-Captain) and Declan Brannigan. Described as a striking example of modern design with old style golfing values, Bray provides the perfect environment for all golfers. Spectacular views of the Wicklow Mountains and Killiney Bay are evident throughout the course.

The signature hole is the 11th measuring 320 yards from the White Markers. From the tee the views are spectacular as the fairway rises up in front of you winding its way between strategically placed bunkers to meet the tiered green. County Longford Golf Club is located just outside Longford on the Old Dublin Road (the R393) and is only 1 hour from the M50.

This mature 6,700 yard, Par 72 Parkland golf course was originally founded in 1894, but has since been newly redesigned and was officially re-opened in May 2005. A stream comes into play at a number of holes, including the last, so you won't be able to let your guard down until you are safely back in the clubhouse. Delgany Golf Club, Co Wicklow was founded in 1908 and is celebrating it's centenary this year. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside and breathtaking scenery with hill and sea views from Bray Head and the Sugarloaf to Wicklow Head. Dromoland Castle Golf and Country Club has been in existence since 1962 and golf has been played for over 40 years over the lush rolling tree lined landscape that drains into Dromoland Lough with the Castle as a backdrop. In 2004, course architects, Ron Kirby and the late JB Carr teamed up again following their success at the Old Head of Kinsale - the result is nothing short of spectacular and places Dromoland Castle at the vanguard of "must play" golf destinations on the island of Ireland.

The par-72 course measures a not insignificant 6,824 yards from the back tees and actually plays even longer for a number of reasons. The first reason is that the course has a couple of short par 4s in the 298-yard 9th and 267-yard 15th. These two excellent holes demonstrate that added length is not required to tackle modern technology, as both demand a thoughtful tee shot to avoid the risk of running up a high score. Another factor that lengthens the layout is the use of dog-legs, well-placed bunkers, and fescue rough that places a premium on accuracy, making driver the less-than-optimum choice off several tees. [More...]

Dungarvan Golf Club is wedged between Cruachán Hill and Dungarvan Harbour and is situated a few driver-lengths from Abbeyside village. The club was set up in the early 1920s when a nine-hole links was laid out on the Cunnigar (a three-mile snd spit which is only a 9-iron distance south of Dungarvan town). Members usually visited the Cunnigar in the boat of John 'The Lord' Duggan, who infamously declared during a stormy crossing, "fear not, for The Lord is with you!" The widespread appeal of the game and the growing membership led to affiliation to the Golfing Union of Ireland in 1924. Alas, coastal erosion and Cunnigar inaccessibility led the club to seek an alternative venue.

In 1929 the club moved to Clonea, playing on farm land beside the Ocean View Hotel (now The Clonea Strand Hotel). A small pavilion was erected to house golf equipment, and the members used the hotel for refreshment and social functions. Golf had taken off in the Déise county; however, a mere seven years later the landowner decided not to renew the lease, so the search for suitable lands began again. Sites in Garranbane, Killosera and Lisfennell were considered, but the members opted for a scenic part of the Stephenson estate in Ballinacourty beside the sea. [More...]

Situated in the historic town of Enniscorthy, the club was founded in 1907 and was extended to 18 holes in 1990. Glasson Golf Hotel and Country Club must be seen to be believed. Set on a peninsula bordering Lough Ree, this Christy O'Connor Jnr. masterpiece will become the subject of many an oil painting.

Hermitage Golf Club has been a feature of West Dublin since 1905.

Killeen golf course was designed in 1980. Since then the course has undergone many changes both in size and design to get it to the high USGA standard that it is at today.

With the purchase of extra land in 1990 the team of Tom Craddock and Pat Ruddy were brought in to completely redesign the layout. Further extensive work by Maurice Kelly and course builder Bernard Mullins in 1998 brought the course up to full Championship standard. Malahide Golf Club is an excellent 27 hole Parkland course, maintained immaculately throughout the year. The Club is situated in the Fingal area of Dublin, close to the sea side villages of Malahide and Portmarnock. Dublin Airport is less than twenty minutes away as is access to the M50.

Historically, Malahide Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in Ireland dating back to 1892. The Club moved to its new location in 1998 when the course was originally designed by Eddie Hackett. When Jack Nicklaus was asked to design and build the 18-hole signature course at Mount Juliet, he created one of Europe’s most renowned courses. The outstanding parkland facility takes full advantage of the natural beauty of the estate, dominated by magnificent specimen trees and river scenery.

This testing par 72 course offers a most enjoyable golfing experience to players of all standards. Mount Juliet has hosted the Irish Open on three occasions and was the venue for the Shell Wonderful World of Golf event. At the WGC – American Express Championship 2002 at Mount Juliet, 49 of the top 50 golfers in the world took part, including overall winner, Tiger Woods. The Mullingar Course at Belvedere on the outskirts of town is the work of famous Scottish designer James Braid. Although some 'cosmetic' changes have been made since its creation in 1935 Mullingar is essentially as its designer intended, a championship challenge set in old wooded and delightfully undulating parklands.

The course runs to 6685 yards with a classic par 72 balance of 10 par4's, 4 par 5's and 4 par3's evenly distributed over both out and inward 9's. It's routing is player friendly, returning to the club house at 4, 7, and 10 giving opportunities to restock as required. [More...]

Naas is a traditional parkland course set in the short grass county of Kildare and is situated on rolling terrain and lush, tree lined fairways. The strategically placed bunkers reward the accurate player. Fast, true and undulating greens provide a stern challenge with the flat stick!

In 1992 Naas was extended to become an eighteen hole course with the addition of nine new holes. The tree lined fairways offer a challenge to any golfer. The position of the tee-shot is crucial to setting up a good scoring opportunity, particularly on holes 4 (index 2), 5 and 7 where the fairways are bordered by mature Elm, Beech and Chestnut Trees. The large greens have many subtle breaks and your work is still cut out for you even if you are there in regulation.

In 2002 holes 1 and 11 through to 18 were redesigned by the renowned architect Jeff Howes. Its lush fairways meander through magnificent mature trees while the strategically placed bunkers reward the accurate player.

The back nine is framed by towering pines and presents the golfer with some elevated tee shots adding to the enjoyment, drama and excitement.  The magnificent elevated 13th tee sweeps down to a valley lined with towering pines. A truly classic par 5 which must be respected.

n 1992 at a specially convened meeting it was decided, after much discussion, to relocate the existing 9 hole Club to a location at Rathgonan Ardagh and to develop an 18 hole Championship course.

The Ring of Kerry Golf & Country Club is located amidst the most stunning scenery imaginable. Stepaside Golf Course is a nine hole public golf course that opened for business in the early 1980's. The facility was one of the first of its kind to be opened in County Dublin.
