The signature hole is the 11th measuring 320 yards from the White Markers. Donabate Golf Club is a mature tree-lined 27-hole parkland course, which was founded in 1925. Nine new holes were opened over the last five years. All of the original greens have been redesigned in this time.

Located just eight 8 south west of Dublin City Centre, Dublin City Golf Club is set in the beautiful valley of Glen Na Smól (The valley of the thrush), overlooking lakes and the river Dodder.

The course was originally designed by the late Eddie Hackett, well known Irish golf architect, responsible for designing more golf courses in Ireland than any other, with redesign work by Frank Clarke, a well known and accomplished golfer and artist. [More...]

Dungarvan Golf Club is wedged between Cruachán Hill and Dungarvan Harbour and is situated a few driver-lengths from Abbeyside village. The club was set up in the early 1920s when a nine-hole links was laid out on the Cunnigar (a three-mile snd spit which is only a 9-iron distance south of Dungarvan town). Members usually visited the Cunnigar in the boat of John 'The Lord' Duggan, who infamously declared during a stormy crossing, "fear not, for The Lord is with you!" The widespread appeal of the game and the growing membership led to affiliation to the Golfing Union of Ireland in 1924. Alas, coastal erosion and Cunnigar inaccessibility led the club to seek an alternative venue.

In 1929 the club moved to Clonea, playing on farm land beside the Ocean View Hotel (now The Clonea Strand Hotel). A small pavilion was erected to house golf equipment, and the members used the hotel for refreshment and social functions. Golf had taken off in the Déise county; however, a mere seven years later the landowner decided not to renew the lease, so the search for suitable lands began again. Sites in Garranbane, Killosera and Lisfennell were considered, but the members opted for a scenic part of the Stephenson estate in Ballinacourty beside the sea. [More...]

Situated in the historic town of Enniscorthy, the club was founded in 1907 and was extended to 18 holes in 1990. The fairways are generous and the course has many beautiful old trees which will give the golfer that extra degree of difficulty. This parkland course with its gentle undulating fairways affords magnificent views of Wexford's rolling countryside and the Blackstairs Mountains. A very beautiful and testing 18 holes it has been described by course architect, the late Eddie Hackett, as a "joy for the average golfer and a test for the expert". The spacious modern clubhouse offers a full range of facilities, and a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere awaits all visitors.

Glasson Golf Hotel and Country Club must be seen to be believed. Set on a peninsula bordering Lough Ree, this Christy O'Connor Jnr. masterpiece will become the subject of many an oil painting.

Ryder Cup star Christy made sure to incorporate rewards for the well played shot in his design, however anything astray at the wrong hole will be treated with the contempt it deserves. One of our many features at Glasson includes the 15th, a par 3 which will undoubtedly become one of the most photographed holes in Irish Golf. Recently developed from a 9 hole to and 18 hole championship length course with unrivaled view of Ocean and Helvick Head. The original 9 holes were planted in 1939, and these trees have grown tall and thick. The mature tree line lined fairways of the older holes are cleverly mingled with the long and challenging newer holes.

Hermitage Golf Club has been a feature of West Dublin since 1905.

Hermitage is situated a mere five miles (8 Kms.) from the city centre. It is bordered on one side by the arterial N4 national route and on the other by the meandering River Liffey. The Mullingar Course at Belvedere on the outskirts of town is the work of famous Scottish designer James Braid. Although some 'cosmetic' changes have been made since its creation in 1935 Mullingar is essentially as its designer intended, a championship challenge set in old wooded and delightfully undulating parklands.

The course runs to 6685 yards with a classic par 72 balance of 10 par4's, 4 par 5's and 4 par3's evenly distributed over both out and inward 9's. It's routing is player friendly, returning to the club house at 4, 7, and 10 giving opportunities to restock as required. [More...]

The Ring of Kerry Golf & Country Club is located amidst the most stunning scenery imaginable. Overlooking beautiful and serene Kenmare Bay with the Kerry mountains providing a wonderful backdrop, the setting is surely one of the best in Ireland. The course itself has a challenging layout with dramatic elevation changes, plenty of very interesting holes and views that make it one of Ireland’s most scenic courses. Strictly speaking a Parkland course, it has a definite links feel, given its proximity to the bay and its sand-based fairways and greens.

Two of ‘The Ring’s’ signature holes lie on the back 9. Hole 13 is a 200+ yds Par 3 from an elevated tee which provides fabulous views of Kenmare Bay. The green slopes heavily from left to right and is protected by water. Par is a good score for this hole, which was recently voted 2nd in ‘Ten of the best views in British Isles golf’ by Today’s Golfer. Hole 14 is ‘The Ring’s’ number 1 index hole. A long par 4, it requires length and accuracy off the tee. The fairway narrows all the way to the green and is surrounded by trees with a huge bunker in front. Founded in 1945 Balbriggan Golf Club, located just 15 minutes from Dublin Airport and just off the M1 motorway, is now among the premier parkland courses in Leinster.

Balbriggan Golf Club has undergone major redevelopment in the last couple of years which has seen the course redesigned by Eddie Connaughton with USGA standards and based greens and tee boxes. The newly developed course has been open for play since June 2009. Balcarrick was originally founded in 1972 under the name of Dublin & County Golf Club. The club changed its name in 1992 to Balcarrick Golf Club and moved to its current location. The course was initially designed by Barry Langan, recently re-developed by Roger Jones and is a magnificent and challenging 18 hole Par 73 golf course, measuring over 6800 yards. Each hole has it's own particular feature and proves a stern test for even the most accomplished golfer. Strategically placed bunkers and water hazards ensure that high levels of accuracy and skill are required to achieve a 'championship' score. Balcarrick is an ECO friendly club where tradition abounds.

Balcarrick golf club is situated overlooking the Malahide estuary and has been restyled by Roger Jones into a fabulous estuary type golf course. Evey hole has a different shape and the greens are the most consistant in the Dublin area. Water is a feature on 11 of the 18 holes, the par threes will test any class of golfer and par is not guaranteed. County Longford Golf Club is located just outside Longford on the Old Dublin Road (the R393) and is only 1 hour from the M50.

This mature 6,700 yard, Par 72 Parkland golf course was originally founded in 1894, but has since been newly redesigned and was officially re-opened in May 2005. A stream comes into play at a number of holes, including the last, so you won't be able to let your guard down until you are safely back in the clubhouse. Dromoland Castle Golf and Country Club has been in existence since 1962 and golf has been played for over 40 years over the lush rolling tree lined landscape that drains into Dromoland Lough with the Castle as a backdrop. In 2004, course architects, Ron Kirby and the late JB Carr teamed up again following their success at the Old Head of Kinsale - the result is nothing short of spectacular and places Dromoland Castle at the vanguard of "must play" golf destinations on the island of Ireland.

The par-72 course measures a not insignificant 6,824 yards from the back tees and actually plays even longer for a number of reasons. The first reason is that the course has a couple of short par 4s in the 298-yard 9th and 267-yard 15th. These two excellent holes demonstrate that added length is not required to tackle modern technology, as both demand a thoughtful tee shot to avoid the risk of running up a high score. Another factor that lengthens the layout is the use of dog-legs, well-placed bunkers, and fescue rough that places a premium on accuracy, making driver the less-than-optimum choice off several tees. [More...]

Originally situated in the "Moor of Meath", Lucan Golf Club moved to its present location, just outside the village, behind the Spa Hotel, in 1902. Situated on 180 acre grounds alongside Navan Racecourse, the par 72 Navan Golf Course is designed in two loops of 9. The front 9 are holes set within the racetrack which gives the effect of heathland with mounds and low level trees. The back nine, along side, are set in typical parkland surrounding with mature trees.
