Golf Courses:

Lisheen Springs Golf Club (formerly known as South County) was designed by Nick Bielenberg. The course is constructed to USGA standards and offers a challenge to the competitive golfer whilst still managing to encourage the efforts of the less experienced.

Use of the landscape is a key feature of Lisheen Springs Golf Club and this is truly apparent as the golfer ambles through the front nine surrounded by rolling hills and heather clad plains.

The subtlety and spleandour of the course is highlighted by the excellent use of water throughout. This is no more amply demonstrated than on the 15th fairway where the Brittas River crosses no fewer than 3 times.Throughout the round the player will be teased and tested by disguised landing areas, deceptive carries and strategically placed bunkers. Indeed the course becomes noticeably more penal and hazard strewn as the round comes to an end. In this renowned finishing stretch you need to display equal measures of caution and courage in order to reach the sanctuary of the clubhouse intact.

The uniquely designed clubhouse nestles among trees offering a haven behind the 18th green. It offers outstanding facilities for golfers on its lower level, without compromising on the standards expected by both diners and relaxing golfers on the upper levels.

Start on the M50 Motorway.

At junction 11, take the Tallaght/Tamhlacht exit onto the N81 (go 0.6 km). At the roundabout, take first exit, driving straight through (go 12.7 km). The road bends slightly to the right as you pass the Blue Gardenia pub on your right. Go 0.5km after the Blue Gardenia pub, take the left onto the Lisheen Road. Continue straight for 100 metres and entrance to the club is on your left.
