The splendid woodlands are woven into three challenging championship golf courses which are very much in the traditional mode, featuring strategically placed bunkers and undulating putting surfaces.

The Deerpark Course with its receptive greens and strategic bunkering impresses even the most experienced professionals. The Deerpark course was host to the Irish Open in 2001 and 2002.

The Clubhouse at the Resort is an extremely creative conversion of old stone farm buildings. Inside you will be presented with a luxury that is more like a top-class hotel than a conventional golf clubhouse, with attractively appointed locker rooms and the wonderful ambience of The Spike Bar.

After a day's golf relax in the congenial atmosphere of the Spike Bar overlooking the iconic 18th green of the Deerpark course. Perfect for light snacks before you venture out, or ideal for excellent après golf cuisine.

Directions from Cork Airport to Fota Island Resort

1. At Airport Road Roundabout take the 1st exit onto Kinsale Road - N27 (signposted Cork). Continue forward onto Kinsale Road - N27. Entering Cork. At traffic signals continue forward onto the N27 
2. At Kinsale Road Roundabout take the 4th exit, then merge onto South Ring Road - N25(signposted South Ring East), Jack Lynch Tunnel (Northbound) 
3. At Dunkettle Interchange (Jct 19) roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the N25 (signposted Rosslare). Continue forward, then merge onto the N25.
4. Branch left for Cobh/Carrigtwohill, then at roundabout take the 4th exit onto the R624.Continue forward, then at roundabout take the 1st exit onto the R624 (signposted Cobh)  
5. Proceed over the bridge and the entrance to the resort is situated on the right.
